Comments: After they fired Julie Taymor (barbarians!), the show underwent an entire re-working. On our next trip to NYC, Randy and I wanted to see what the revised show was like. It wasn't nearly as good as the original.

Comments: This was the first performance after Christopher Tierney's horrible fall on Monday (the show closed down after the accident). I was interviewed by a news organization after the show about the differences between the two shows--Sunday and Thursday. Someone came on the stage before the show began and said a few words about Christopher, etc. Fascinating reading about this in Glen Berger's book, Song of Spider-Man: The Inside Story of the Most Controversial Musical in Broadway History.

Replacements for the roles Christopher Tierney played.

Comments: Matinee. This was our first time seeing the show. One of the most amazing spectacles I have seen on stage. Ever. George Lucas was in the audience. This was the Sunday afternoon performance. It was at the performance the next night (Monday, 12/20) that Christopher Tierney had his horrific fall. The show then closed down. We had already purchased tickets for Thursday and, fortunately for us, the show reopened Thursday night.
